KIDS Value

Agencies that work with children manage a large amount of information in order to properly plan and provide services. Agencies must report to a variety of regulating, licensing, and accrediting bodies---as well as to boards and funding sources. The KIDS applications help agencies manage and communicate this information. These qualities form the value-proposition of these products for your agency.

Flexibility

  1. Agencies track a variety of information, but not all of them track the same information. The rich array of KIDS recording capabilities enables agencies to select areas that are pertinent to their needs, with the option hiding the ones that don’t apply and enforcing which fields are mandatory.
  2. Nearly 500 built-in reports allow you to communicate internally about clinical details, as well as conveying a large variety of information and outcomes to funders and regulating bodies.
  3. Agencies have the ability to custom-tailor codes/descriptions to reflect their individual services, programs, and terminology. This assists with consistency of data entry and increases report accuracy.
  4. The application design enables users to decrease the “number of clicks” necessary to access forms. This is accomplished through use of several portals that enable form access from the main screen or tabs within each screen.
  5. Electronic file storage means that caseworkers, therapists, or other professionals can access client information off-site. This enables all staff to provide input into daily care and to make more informed decisions.

Security and Confidentiality

  1. Secure storage of client information: Data is stored in a metro Atlanta data center that is physically secured, with redundant fiber optic Internet and power connections. Data sits behind redundant hardware firewalls and switches. Incremental backups are taken hourly and full backups are taken once daily. All backup content is securely archived each hour to an offsite data storage facility.
  2. Our products are HIPAA compliant and adhere to best practises for system access. Our company follows strict guidelines for data access and actively monitors and tests our network for vulnerabilities. User access, security roles, and password change/complexity rules are part of an overall commitment to protecting patient data.

Accountability

  1. Our products assist supervisors in tracking employee performance and activities. Supervisors can check the frequency with which medications are administered, training hours, incident reports, and program administration.
  2. Features like Kids Intelligence (KI) increase the likelihood of consistent data entry. This feature allows management staff to specify mandatory fields. This is important for billing and reporting to licensing and funding bodies. KI allows a user to exit the form on which they are working--but not without a reminder box that specifies missing fields. This enables staff to address the missing field, if the information in question is available. Similarly, reports can be generated to indicate which mandatory fields are missing from client records. This is an important quality assurance and supervisory tool.
