Set up document categories, libraries and checklists along with workflow
Collaborations not only provides the ability to create document libraries, it also assists with quality control issues by allowing for the creation of rules, including deadlines. The system will show staff if a deadline has been been missed. This quality assurance tool enables your staff to maintain client data in a timely fashion. Similarly, active messaging for documents in need of revision or signoff from a superior are automatically generated from the system. All such active messaging is based upon the business rules which you can create for that document library.
The system also has a built-in document protection feature-any edits to a document can only be made by checking out the document and the system automatically retains previous versions of the document. This protects documents from unintentional overwriting. KIDS Collaborations allows you to use two workflows that control two basic business requirements.
- Document Approval Workflow - the documents in the library requires approval from other persons. When you setup this workflow, you can set which user group will act as approver of documents.
- Collect Feedback Workflow - the documents in the library requires feedback from other persons. For each document library, you can set one person who will review the documents and provide feedback.
Apart from these two, you may want to deploy some other business logic that you follow and we can help you to achieve those using workflows.

Keep documents “for your eyes only”
Specific permissions can be applied to the documents, document libraries. Based on the permission, the users will be able to view and possibly edit the documents. Documents needing review and “signoff” from a person (or a series of people) will not appear on the Collaborations interfaces for other users until that document has passed through all the steps defined for review.
